We fully understand that it might be a little daunting for those who may have never attended a church service before or are unfamiliar with our styles of worship. To make it easier, this page gives you some idea of what to expect.
If you are still nervous after reading this, please do contact the Church Office or our Minister and we will arrange for someone to meet you, have a coffee, and show you around.
Some Preliminary Information
When you enter the church building, someone will greet you at the door and give you a copy of the weekly notices.
Please feel free to sit anywhere you like. If you are not sure what to do, just follow everyone else or ask someone nearby who will be pleased to help.
A hymn book and service book will be found on the back of the chair in front of you, and the preacher will make it clear which book is being used. Many of our hymns/songs are projected onto a large screen at the front of the church.
If you use a hearing aid, then we have an induction loop to help you hear properly. Simply switch your hearing aid to the 'T' position.
It is never easy to know how to dress when visiting somewhere new. So, let's talk about dress. It ranges from very casual to business casual. Jeans and ties are equally welcomed. So wear whatever you are comfortable in! We’re just glad to have you join us!
Anyone for tea or coffee?
Each Sunday, at 10.30 a.m., between our two morning worship meetings, and at 12.00 noon after the 11.00 a.m. worship time, we have an informal get together, when you can meet new friends or chat with long-term acquaintances over tea or coffee.
We appreciate that everyone worships in their own unique way – for many, that means lively worship songs, the chance to informally discuss and question faith and life issues; for others it means a more formal, structured setting to explore, reflect and be challenged. At Trinity you’re welcome to be part of whichever of our different meetings is the most stimulating environment for you and which makes you feel most comfortable.
As part of our worship meetings there is the opportunity to worship God through the giving of our offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our members and regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. It also gives Trinity the means to care for and reach more people for Christ in the future.
The message (sermon)
Every Sunday, in each of the worship meetings you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.
Once a month, we celebrate communion together in either our 11.00 a.m. or 6.30 p.m. service. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer, you do not need to be a member of Trinity or of any church. All we ask is that you have an ongoing commitment to follow Jesus Christ. The bread and wine (non-alcoholic) that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
